What happens when it rains?
If it rains sessions still run - come in waterproof clothing and welly boots and Wild Things will put up a shelter to provide a basic shelter. Playing out in all weather helps to build up our resilience and ability to cope in different situations. Also, we live in England, we need to find a way to embrace the wet weather - so put on your waterproofs and come along. We love wet sessions!
Don't just take my word for it... one parents messaged after probably the wettest ever session 'The rain just made it more fun! Thanks again, it was brilliant.'
What happens when it's windy or cold?
Apart from extremely windy conditions (when it’s not safe to be under the trees) the weather doesn't stop our outdoors fun - if it rains we put up a shelter, cold we have a fire and play games and have hot chocolate, actually we have hot chocolate whatever the weather!
Wearing appropriate clothing also makes a massive difference - see What to wear for more ideas.
