Wild Things
Wild Things, award winning forest school, nestled in a small wooded area in the heart of York's South Bank area, is an urban oasis for outdoor exploration.
Set in the grounds of Millthorpe School (just off Scarcroft Road) we immerse children in nature, encouraging them to play, learn, and take managed risks in the outdoors. From cooking up a storm in our mud kitchen to mastering real tools, building dens, pond dipping, bug hunting, and nature crafts, we offer a wide range of activities to develop a deep connection with nature.
But best of all we encourage child-led play and let children take the lead.
Wild Things also runs outdoor events for adults - coming up are our seasonal wreath events.
